Le parc national de Krka, l'un des trésors naturels les plus sauvages de Croatie, est l'endroit idéal pour profiter pleinement de la nature. Tomislav, un guide local, explique : "C'est un paradis non seulement pour les humains, mais aussi pour les 860 espèces de plantes et les 240 espèces d'oiseaux et de poissons qui y vivent".

Le parc national de Krka est un lieu protégé où l'on trouve des chutes d'eau tonitruantes, des lacs et des passerelles le long des rivières. Après une brève présentation, vous aurez la journée pour vous promener sur les passerelles en bois au bord de l'eau et admirer le paysage. Mais le joyau du parc est Skradinski Buk, une immense piscine naturelle avec 17 cascades jaillissant à travers les arbres. Tomislav ajoute : "Les niveaux féeriques de Skradinski Buk ont été formés par des couches de calcaire travertin qui se sont accumulées à partir des sources minérales qui l'alimentent".

Vous vous y arrêterez pour prendre un en-cas dans un restaurant local, avec une vue qui restera gravée dans votre mémoire. Vous aurez ensuite tout l'après-midi pour explorer le parc par vous-même. Vous pourrez observer la faune le long des sentiers, car les rossignols, les hérons, les faucons et les hiboux sont des habitués des lieux. De plus, l'eau est si transparente qu'il est facile d'apercevoir des poissons dans les eaux de la rivière Krka. Le simple fait de se promener dans les allées du parc permet d'apprécier d'une toute nouvelle manière la puissance et l'art de Mère Nature.

    The Park is beautiful however way too crowded which is a concern for its preservation. Croatia may have to seriously rethink and limit numbers.

You've then got all afternoon to explore the park for yourself. You can go wildlife spotting along the trails, as nightingales, herons, falcons and owls are all regulars here. Plus, the water is so see-through-clear here that it's easy to spot fish in the waters of the Krka River. Simply strolling through the park's walkways gives you a whole new appreciate for the power and artistry of Mother Nature.

In this protected conservation area, you'll glide through the clear water, with a good chance of spotting herons, egrets and pygmy cormorants. There are over 300 species of birds here among the other wildlife, so keep an eye out for some more unusual finds, like colourful kingfishers, black and yellow fire salamanders and vibrant Balkan green lizards.Past Lake Kuti, you'll stop for lunch at Neretva House Tavern, which can only be reached by boat, for a feast of traditional Dalmatian dishes. You'll make your way along the Dalmatian coast towards Omis and then climb up the western slopes of the Dinaric Alps to the starting point. The descent ends a few hours later in the lower Cetina gorge.We'll head to Omis – a pretty town at the mouth of a rocky gorge on the River Cetina. From here, we'll drive up into the mountains. On arrival at the launching pad for the descent by raft, you'll be given a quick safety briefing and kitted out with wetsuits, helmets and life vests.Next, you'll take a seat in your raft, ready for a ride through the rugged canyon.
