Si quiere escapar de la ciudad y ver un poco más de Islandia, este viaje es ideal. Le llevará a la costa sur del país, donde le esperan atronadoras cascadas, volcanes nevados y una costa inhóspita.

Hará un par de paradas en las cascadas más grandes de la zona, Seljalandsfoss y Skogafoss, donde tendrá tiempo suficiente para hacer fotos. Eyjafjallajökull también forma parte de la ruta.

El volcán que entró en erupción en 2010 es hoy en día una imagen de serenidad, durmiendo profundamente bajo una enorme capa de hielo y nieve. Pero lo mejor del día es Vik. Esta enorme playa está cubierta de guijarros negros y cuenta con extrañas y maravillosas formaciones rocosas de basalto.

    The weather was awful with blizzards. This meant we couldn’t see the beach at Vik. Driving conditions were terrible and I’m surprised the tour went ahead. The guide was lovely. We had a large family party who followed their own time keeping which was annoying especially as some people on the bus had to return for another trip. It was still an amazing experience but I think we will have to return to see the beaches properly.

    Maybe you could lengthen the day so that you can have more time in the three locations and a shorter lunch could help with this too.

    Guide was very knowledgeable and even added in an extra stop off for us to see the glacier. The sights were stunning. Would of liked a little more time in each place on the stop to be able to take more of the surroundings in but understand there is a time constraint too.
