Tiago was a wonderful guide-- really personable and easy to chat with-- one of the best guides we've had in our years of traveling around the world! He gave us a very in-depth explanation of the sites around the Douro Valley, the port wine-making process, and his own experience growing up in the Douro Valley as a child. It was wonderful to learn so much from someone who has deep family roots in the Valley. My husband, our 17-year old daughter, and I shared a van with another family of 5. Everyone got along well, especially because Tiago kept a nice conversational pace and included everyone in the conversation--our daughter enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Tiago listened to things we were interested in and offered suggestions of other things to see around Porto to enhance our stay. He kept a nice pace for the day and we never felt rushed.

We had a wonderful experience at Quinta da Portela de Baixo -- it was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip around Portugal. We were stuck on New Year's Day with our previously booked tour being canceled last minute, and had low hopes for finding a replacement on short notice. Knowing that we'd likely be out of luck elsewhere, they ran a tour just for us. The wine and snacks fantastic (and plentiful), and our guide was lovely. We would highly reccomend this tour for anyone visiting the Duoro.

The trip to the Duoro valley was great. Our guide Brehim was very friendly and told us a lot about the region. I especially liked visiting the small winery and the river cruise.

Excellent tour, pleasant day out tasting thr local cuisines & the scenery was stunning.

It was a phenomenal day! I recommend this experience as a day trip from Porto.
