Then, as you wander through the museum, see busts of famous leaders like Georgi Dimitrov, Dimitar Blagoev, Vasil Kolarov, Todor Zhivkov, and Lenin. Gaze at typical Socialist Realism artwork, including statues of unknown partisans, workers, and the Red Army soldiers. Explore the exhibit of Socialist-era paintings, many depicting Stalin, Marx and Engels. Take a peek at the masterpiece of the museum, the great five-pointed red star which once was on top of the Party building in the center of Sofia.
