What to expect

Iceland is known as the country of contrast, the “land of fire and ice”, and this tour will take you to the south coast which hosts extremely variated natural phenomena, where contrasts in elements, weather and colours do not go unseen.

From green mountains, spectacular sea cliffs, waterfalls and glaciers to black sand beaches and unique coastal features, the south coast of Iceland has it all, and this tour will allow you to discover all the highlights in a small group, guaranteeing a flexible and intimate experience.

Accompanied by an experienced and passionate driver guide, you'll be visiting the Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, the Reynisfjara black beach, the Petrified Trolls of Reynisdrangar, you will explore the fascinating landscape at Sólheimajökull glacier and you will have a lunch stop in the small village Vík, the southernmost town of Iceland.

What to remember
  • Minimum age of participants: 8 years
  • This is a small group tour with a maximum of 18 people
  • Bring warm, wind and water proof clothing
  • The walk to the ice at Sólheimajökull glacier takes around 20 min (one way) and is on uneven terrain. As such, good sturdy shoes are recommended
  • There is no food included on this tour but there will be stops where you are able to purchase food
  • You will have the possibility to choose your pick up location during the booking process; if you haven't organized your accommodation yet, you can send the details directly to the supplier at a later stage using the contact details provided on your voucher

If you want to escape the city and see a bit more of Iceland, this trip is ideal. It introduces you to the country's south coast, where thundering waterfalls, snow-topped volcanoes and a stark coastline lie ready and waiting.You'll make a couple of stops at the area's biggest waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, where you'll have enough time to take some photos. Eyjafjallajökull is part of the line-up, too.The volcano that erupted back in 2010 is a picture of serenity these days, sleeping soundly beneath a huge sheet of ice and snow.
