Gozo and Comino cruise

The boat trip to Gozo was a lovely opportunity to see Malta from the sea. The boat was well equipped with seats in the sun or shade, also had a bar and toilets. Friendly, helpful crew. We only saw the town of Victoria on Gozo, so we just had time to get some lunch, then had to head back for the boat to Comino. Comino was very busy, with very uneven ground, steps and rocks to negotiate - however it is stunningly beautiful, so worth a visit if you are able.

The joining instructions I was sent with my voucher were incorrect. Rather than being given a tour of Gozo, we were simply driven to the capital and left there for two hours before the coach returned to the ferry. I paid an extra €15 to go and see the caves, but this was a very cursory trip, and only lasted about 20 minutes. Rather than swimming off the back of the boat in the blue lagoon, we had to disembark on Camino and we left there for two hours while the ferry went off on another trip.

Ideally I would have more time in Gozo to see more of the citadel. Overall really enjoyed the day.

The ‘panoramic’ tour was to the National Shrine for 10 mins then dumped into the Capital for 2 hours! The mini bus was old, no A/C, seatbelts didn’t work, and the wipers kept coming on for no reason. Extremely disappointing. We saw virtually nothing of the island.The description also didn’t explain that we had to climb over the rocks at Gozo, not that easy for 70 year olds’. You usually describe each trip as easy, moderate etc, not here. Better descriptions please.

The trip Was amazing overall, however when we got to Gozo getting off the boat was very confusing. We had a panoramic bus tour included so as we headed to the bus there was people shouting at us to get on old mini busses. We got on one then realised it wasn’t the right bus so when we got off a man came screaming at us to get back on, he tried to grab my partners arm, he pushed his hand away so the man slapped my partners hand and told us to F off and not to come back. Very confusing for elderly

Everything was ok until we embarked on our sightseeing tour of Gozo. The minibus was old and no air conditioning. The driver was uncommunicative and drove somewhat recklessly. I wouldn’t recommend that part of the tour
