What to expect

This trip has all the bases covered – sunbathing, swimming, drinks and some of Cyprus's most impressive coastal scenes. You'll sail from the Old Port in Limassol towards the most southerly point on the island for some much-deserved relaxation time with your loved ones on this calming catamaran cruise.

Hop aboard in Limassol and grab yourself the best spot for stretching out on deck or on the nets and topping up your tan. Your captain and crew will steer the way south, towards Cape Gata, so that you'll not need to lift a finger all day. Local drinks are on tap too, including juices, wine and beer, so you can sip away as you admire the ever-changing landscape.

And once the heat gets too much, there'll be a couple of stops for swimming, snorkelling or just taking a dip to cool off. It's all completed with some lunch on deck after swimming at Lady's Mile Beach before you begin the return leg of the journey.

    The whole day was a great experience. Lovely to have a day out and was very well looked after by the catamaran staff. Good value for money including drinks & a nice lunch

    Really loved all of it. All staff were really lovely and kind. Lunch was a lot better than I thought it was going to be and the bar was very well stocked. We took an inflatable but they had noodles on board. I think the noodles should be advertised so people know.

    Attentive and friendly crew, lovely lunch and great range of drinks included. Some swimming aids supplied for less confident swimmers. Loved the music choices, many of my favourites played throughout the trip! Both swim stops were good. I would happily pay more for a longer day out if that was available, maybe different locations to stop? We've done this trip twice now and will likely do it again.

    Absolutely fantastic full day trip Easy to book on the TUI App Picked up from our hotel and taken door to door Only 20 people on our cruise which made it very roomy and spacious The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough from the moment we set foot on board Offering drinks constantly throughout the day - a wide range available Lovely lunch Two stops with opportunities for sea swimming Comfortable sun loungers Great value for money and a great day out! En het resultaat is een fascinerende potpourri van onafgemaakte hotels, half vervallen kerken en ranke minaretten.”Je reis terug in de tijd start bij de klassieke oudheid in Salamis. Je verkent de ruïnes van de tempels, het gedeeltelijk gerestaureerde theater en nog veel meer. Stavroula, een van onze lokale gidsen, zegt: "Salamis is doordrenkt van oude mythen. En de heilige Barnabas, die het christendom in de eerste eeuw naar Cyprus bracht, ligt begraven in een nabijgelegen klooster.”Je hebt de tijd aan jezelf om te lunchen. Daarna staat een bezoek aan Famagusta op het programma. Deze oude stad wordt nog steeds beschermd door de intacte verdedigingsmuren die eeuwen geleden door de Venetianen werden gebouwd. Je gids brengt je langs bezienswaardigheden, zoals het kasteel en de gotische kathedraal die nu een moskee is. Elpida zegt: "Voor de hoofdingang staat een vijgenboom die werd geplant door de kruisvaarders die de kathedraal bouwden - het is dus het oudste levende ding in Famagusta". Je sluit het bezoek af met een wandeling door de 'spookstad' Varosha. Dit ooit zo populaire strandoord ligt er nu al 50 jaar verlaten bij. Het is een surrealistische ervaring om door de met onkruid overwoekerde straten met afbrokkelende gevels en verroeste luiken en kapotte ramen te lopen.
