Once the holiday home of choice for Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, Dubrovnik's enjoyed almost a century in the spotlight. Meet up with your guide in the early evening and set off on a guided walk of Dubrovnik's old town in the prettiest light of the day. The area's packed with Baroque churches, Venetian houses and ornate palaces. Not to mention designer shops and homey restaurants, splashing fountains and bell towers.
