What to expect

Discover Athens, the Port of Piraeus, and the coastline of the Athenian Riviera at your own pace with a hop-on and hop-off ticket for four different bus lines.

Explore the Greek capital at your own pace with a hop-on-hop-off bus tour that provides easy transport to key attractions like the Panathenaic Stadium and the Parthenon, part of the Acropolis. You will get the best of 4 lines for two days; Athens, Piraeus, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and you will also visit the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Blue Line – Piraeus. If you are fresh from the cruise, you can start your journey at either of the Cruise Terminals in the Port of Piraeus, just a stone's throw away from the cruise ship. Don't miss out on the impressive new Museum of Acropolis, and walk up to the Acropolis hill to admire the Parthenon.

Orange Line – Athens. The orange line roams by the most beautiful attractions further down the city centre. You may see the Plaka District, the most traditional area of Athens, and mingle with the vibes of ancient Greece. You can also visit the Gate of the Roman emperor Hadrian, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the largest temple in Greece during the Roman Times.

Yellow Line − Glyfada. Start your tour of the Athenian Riviera from the Planetarium stop of the Blue Line. Find out how the bewildering desert of the 1900s has evolved into one of the most cosmopolitan areas of Greece! From the Niarchos Foundation to the Marina Alimou, the Glyfada Line is a blending of history and modernism. Don't miss out on the beach bar and taste a cocktail by the seaside!

Green Line − Vouliagmeni. Vouliagmeni may have been associated mostly with beaches, but the area is a history lesson on its own. From the Allied Forces Cemetery to the Byzantine Museum, Vouliagmeni Line is certainly worth a visit. Relax at the beautiful beach of Kavouri Oceanis, one of the most popular beaches in Athens.

The ticket also grants you the opportunity to visit the Parthenon. With your ticket, you can visit one of the greatest monuments in the world. There you can visit the ancient temples, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, including the Parthenon, Erechteion and the Propylaea. For you to do that you will have to get off on our stop "Acropolis" and obtain an extra ticket from one of our staff there to gain access to the Parthenon site.

We ask our customer that book tickets for the bus and Parthenon of Acropolis to check the following list. Please do not book a day in which the entrance is free. Monuments and sights are free every First Sunday of the month from 1 of November to 31 of March. Half-day private tour of Athens with Acropolis and Plaka visits

The ancient Greeks left behind a treasure trove of monuments, statues and artefacts in Athens. And on this private tour, you'll take in all the top spots with an expert guide. Exclusively for you and your party, you'll tour highlights including the Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library, the Plaka neighbourhood and the UNESCO-listed Acropolis. Vassiliki, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Acropolis means “high city” and it usually refers to any settlement built on top of a hill. You'll find many towns in Greece that have an acropolis, but the Acropolis of Athens is certainly the most famous.'You'll start with a guided tour of the Acropolis – with skip-the-line tickets, there'll be no waiting around. Soak up wow-factor views over Athens at the Areopagus – a rocky hill where legend has it the Greek gods would hold court. Let your guide bring history to life as you marvel at ancient landmarks like the Roman Agora, the Theatre of Dionysus and the still-standing columns of the Asklepieion and Parthenon. Then, it's on to the city's Instagram-worthy old quarter, Plaka – the capital's most appealing and historic neighbourhood. Always thronged with a mix of locals and visitors, the pedestrianised lanes are brimming with tavernas whose tables spill onto the streets. Vassiliki says, ‘Athenians call this area “the neighbourhood of the Gods,' as it has been inhabited since the days of ancient Greece. In fact, excavations show that the street layout has barely changed since antiquity.'
