They will send you on your way to the western tribune. This is a self-guided tour, meaning you will explore the stadium on your own, following the instruction signs. Throughout the route, you will learn more about the stadium, the club, and the players. The expected duration of the tour is 60 minutes. A tour highlight includes the "mix zone", the area where rival teams meet each other for the first time. The player's cabins, the player tunnel, and of course the actual field are also awaiting you to explore. While you are not allowed to step onto the field or touch the grass, you are allowed to sit on the coach's bench, breathing in the BVB spirit.

Climb the 99 steps to reach the furnace plant's skywalk. Learn about the industrial legacy and the stories of everyday work at the plant, which has been designated as a site of historical preservation since 2002. Next, follow the path to the end of the skywalk. There, you'll reach the western blast furnace 5 and ascend more steps to reach the full height of 64 meters. Admire Dortmund's landmarks and the surrounding attractions: Lake Phoenix, the Florianturm, and the Signal Iduna Park.

So the self-guided tour is worthwhile for children as well as for adults. You can look around at your leisure and take some nice photos. To see the changing room, players' tunnel and bench is a highlight. The nice service staff completes the thing.
