Luieren onder de zon. Vakanties op Cyprus zijn ervoor gemáákt. En met deze luxe adults-only catamarantocht bij zonsondergang kom je helemaal tot rust. Je zeilt vanuit Green Bay naar Famagusta, Konnos Bay en de bekende Blue Lagoon. Daar stop je om een duik in zee te nemen en al fresco te eten aan boord.

Je dag begint al goed als we je bij je hotel ophalen en naar de catamaran brengen. Zodra je aan boord bent, zet de kapitein koers naar Famagusta. Aan bakboord de zonovergoten kust van Kaap Greco, met op de achtergrond de muziek van een live saxofonist. Nog voor Konnos Bay laat de bemanning het anker zakken voor een plons in zee. Even afkoelen!

Aan boord is volop plek om te zonnen. Kies een hangnet of een van de lounge plekken in de schaduw. Douches zijn er ook. Zodra we bij de baai aankomen, serveert de bemanning je het eten. Je duikt nog even de zee in, met of zonder snorkelmasker op je hoofd, voor je weer terugkeert naar de haven.

Magic Dancing Waters Ticket

For an evening filled with lights, magic and music, look no further than Cyprus's very own Magic Dancing Waters show. There'll be a colourful hour-long performance which is guaranteed to captivate all ages.Take your seat and prepare yourself for a dazzling feast for the eyes. The lights will be dimmed and 18,000 nozzles will come to life spurting jets of water into the air – all in time with the music. With more lights than you can count –12,000 to be exact – the water will be illuminated to create a colourful display.What's more, the fountain will make 65 different shapes in total, including a 60-metre-long curtain of water with smoke machines and cannons all adding to the drama. It'll come to a dramatic close as a man-made volcano erupts, complete with flowing lava, in a finale that's truly spellbinding.

Caledonia Waterfalls Tour with Local Guide and Lunch

We're talking a three-kilometre hike, leading you to Caledonia Falls, one of Cyprus's tallest and most beautiful waterfalls, before heading to the village of Platres for a tasty, traditional lunch. Andi, one of our expert local guides, says, "You'll love the hike as much as the destination – it's like stepping into a fairytale, with cute little bridges crisscrossing along the stream all the way to the waterfall." But first, you'll kick things off at Kolossi Fruit Garden. Think juicy fruit and zesty lemonade to get you prepped for the adventure ahead. As you wind through the forest, the bubbling Kryos Potamos stream keeps you company – it's the perfect backdrop for those Insta-gold pics, almost like the Greek Gods are keeping tabs on you. You'll delve deeper along the forest nature tail, among old pines and strawberry trees, until reaching the showstopper – Caldonia Falls. Here, you can dip your toes in the shaded freshwater pool, snap some pics, and soak up the magic. The falls were named by a Scottish expedition in 1878, who were so wowed by how much it reminded them of home, they named it after Caledonia, the Roman name for Scotland. Afterwards, you'll head to Psilo Dendro, in Platres, for a well-deserved lunch. With its own trout farm, the fish here is as fresh as it gets – the perfect way to wrap up your mountain adventure.
