Take off from Hurghada and touch down in Cairo, stepping straight into a world shaped by pharaohs and ancient wonders. Built over 4,500 years ago, these monuments formed the royal burial complex for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. You’ll have time to roam the site, stand before the Great Sphinx and soak up the atmosphere of this ancient world. After that, you’ll stop for lunch at a local spot before heading to the Grand Egyptian Museum – AKA GEM. Opened in 2025 and now the largest archaeological museum on the planet, it’s a true showstopper. You’ll explore its immersive exhibits, climb the Grand Staircase lined with huge artefacts and lose yourself in stories that stretch across millennia. Plus, it overlooks the Giza Plateau, so the views are every bit as breathtaking as the exhibits.
One of the museum’s highlights is the Tutankhamun Gallery, where over 5,000 treasures from the young pharaoh’s tomb are displayed together for the first time since their discovery. The golden masks, ancient jewels and symbolic treasures are sure to leave you speechless. After a full day packed with discovery and ancient history, you’ll start your journey back to Hurghada.
