L'Islande est célèbre pour ses glaciers, mais jusqu'à récemment, ce qui se trouve sous le glacier Langjokull restait un mystère. En 2010, la première grotte de glace artificielle a été creusée pour permettre aux visiteurs de pénétrer au cœur de cette calotte glaciaire isolée. De plus, vous visiterez également la chute d'eau de Hraunfossar.

Après votre arrivée à la base de Husafell, vous monterez dans un camion à neige pour commencer votre ascension vers la grotte de glace, en explorant le paysage glaciaire accidenté en cours de route. Un guide expérimenté vous conduira à l'intérieur, où vous verrez la magnifique glace bleue enfouie profondément sous la surface, qui reste à une température constante de 0°.

Tout cela est combiné avec des cascades étonnantes et des vues panoramiques sur les montagnes pendant que vous vous dirigez vers le nord jusqu'au glacier. Au retour, vous aurez peut-être la chance d'apercevoir une aurore boréale danser dans le ciel.
