Si vous voyagez en Islande, les geysers, la cascade dorée de Gullfoss et Thingvellir sont des incontournables. En seulement huit heures, vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel et explorerez les trois principaux sites islandais. Le parc national de Thingvellir est le comté national de tous les Islandais : il se situe dans la ceinture d'activité volcanique et de fissures qui traverse l'Islande, une partie de la dorsale médio-atlantique qui sépare l'Europe de l'Amérique. En vous tenant debout, le pied droit d'un côté et le gauche de l'autre, vous aurez l'impression d'être sur deux continents à la fois.

Vous découvrirez ensuite les plus grands geysers de la vallée de Haukadalur, Strokkur, et Geysir, qui donne son nom à tous les autres geysers du monde. Strokkur entre en éruption toutes les 5 à 10 minutes, projetant une colonne d'eau dans les airs à une hauteur de 20 à 30 mètres. À Geysir, vous aurez l'occasion de déjeuner avant de vous rendre à la magnifique cascade de Gullfoss ; vous serez émerveillé par sa puissance brute. Ceci complète l'itinéraire standard du Cercle d'Or, mais avant de retourner à Reykjavik, vous visiterez également le cratère volcanique de Kerid. Ce cratère mesure 270 m de large et plus de 55 m de profondeur. Au fond du cratère se trouve un lac qui lui confère une touche magique.

This was a really enjoyable day. The guide was really informative. It was interesting to watch and eat the food prepared in the geothermal water in the ground at the first geyser and is something we didn’t experience on any other trip! More time would have been good at the Kerid Crater but we still managed to walk around it and down in the crater itself. There were plenty of stops during the day for refreshments and food if required. This is a must attend trip.

The tour was a full day of over 8 hours with some extra little visits given as well. Kristina our driver and guide was very helpful and amusing and talked us all the way round giving us a lot of very useful information. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Iceland.

Collected slightly late by Vlad , but not his fault as other customers at prior pick up didn’t turn up. Had to phone office as worried we’d been forgotten. Vlad was friendly and polite and handled more problematic customer with dry wit. Enjoyed day, although slightly rushed due to limited light.
