En este viaje explorará la península de Akamas por tierra y por mar. Y, en lugar del típico autocar, viajará en un vehículo 4x4. La zona es conocida por su belleza natural, así que le espera un auténtico placer. El día comienza en el desfiladero de Avakas, quizá la maravilla natural más impresionante de Chipre, con un paseo de media hora por su profundo cañón de escarpadas paredes de piedra caliza que forman un estrecho túnel natural. This excursion would be highly recommended and very worth the money. Tour guide Jerry was brilliant, funny and kept the group interactive. You get to experience all different aspects like mountain, 4x4 riding and the beautiful lagoon, alongside delicious lunch.

While the majority of the trip was lovely and the blue lagoon was beautiful, I can’t write a positive experience about the trip because of our driver - he drove at excessive speeds, there was no regard for the speed limits, he was overtaking dangerously, driving close to the vehicles in front, always racing the other 4x4’s and using his phone whilst driving and, my husband had to shout to him to slow down at one point - no regard for other road users or passengers in the vehicle

Loved it all. Where there's a 'drink break' extend this by 15 mins or keep it 30 mins fir a swim break to help with the heat of the day!

A great day out , awesome to driven around by a super friendly guide that knows there stuff., we learnt a lot and the structure of the day was perfect finishing with the swim in the blue lagoon. I went with my 11 and 14 year old and we all had a great time. If you fancy a day off the resort getting the flavour of Cyprus look no further

Cyprus is home to some hugely important ancient Greek and Roman sites. Andreas says, ‘At Kourion, you see the ruined house of Eustolios and find out what life was like here before the city was destroyed by an earthquake in the 4th century.'Next, we'll head to ancient Paphos for a guided visit of the Tombs of the Kings, the House of Dionysos and its well-preserved mosaics. Andreas says, ‘The rock-hewn Tombs of the Kings were not actually intended for royalty, but instead the aristocracy and island governors were laid to rest here. The name reflects the sheer grandeur of the necropolis.' Later, you'll enjoy some free time to shop and wander around Paphos Harbour. Maybe you can stroll along the waterfront or grab a bite to eat at one of the many terrace cafés.

Cyprus is all rolling hills dotted with pretty villages. On this adults-only tour, you'll see where a legend was born, visit the ruins of Kourion, venture to the village of Omodos and cap off the day with a wine tasting. Eva, one of our local guides, says of this excursion, ‘You'll wander through layers of history, culture and mythology.'You'll dive straight into the past at Kourion, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Cyprus. Visit the Roman baths and amble into the site's centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre. Concerts are still held to this day. While the mosaics of the trio of excavated houses known as those of Eustolius, the Gladiators and Achilles are as impressive as when they were laid down. The 15th-century Kolossi Castle is up next. This steeped-in-legend Crusader-built fortress is nowadays surrounded by blooming plants. Then, we'll head for a local lunch in a family-run taverna before visiting mountain-fringed Omodos where you'll wander around skinny cobbled streets lined with Byzantine buildings. It's Eva's favourite village. She says, ‘The charm of the stone houses, the tranquillity and peace. It's as if it has sprung from a fairytale. I love dropping into one of the cafés and seeing locals have philosophical discussions, political arguments and a bit of gossip.' To finish, there's a wine tasting session, where you'll learn all about sweet commandaria wine – one of the oldest varieties in the world.
