Beschreibung

An den gegenüberliegenden Enden des Golfs von Kastela gelegen, bieten Split und Trogir zwei kontrastreiche Visionen der Vergangenheit. Split ist eine pulsierende Stadt, die um einen römischen Kaiserpalast herum gebaut wurde, während Trogir eine mittelalterliche Stadt auf einer kleinen Insel ist - und beide gehören zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Zunächst besuchen Sie Split, das Zentrum der dalmatinischen Küste. Der Star der Stadt ist der riesige Palast des römischen Kaisers Diokletian aus dem dritten Jahrhundert. Heute dient er als Altstadt von Split und wurde bereits für die Dreharbeiten zum Film "Game of Thrones" genutzt. Sie werden zwei Märkte besuchen und einen typischen Snack in Mlinice Pantana zu sich nehmen, bevor Sie nach Trogir fahren.

Mit ihren mittelalterlichen Palästen und Kirchen sowie der romanisch-gotischen Kathedrale bietet die Stadt in ihren engen, gepflasterten Gassen eine Fülle von Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Sitting at opposite ends of the Gulf of Kastela, Split and Trogir offer two contrasting visions of the past. Split is a bustling city built around a Roman emperor's palace while Trogir is a medieval town set upon an islet – and both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.First, you'll visit Split, the hub of the Dalmatian coast. The star of the show is the vast third century palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Today it doubles as Split's old town and has been used to film Game of Thrones.
