Beschreibung

Die Halbinsel Akrotiri ist das Ziel dieser aufregenden dreistündigen Buggytour ab Limassol. Sie werden viele lokale Sehenswürdigkeiten sehen und sogar auf einer Motocross-Strecke Gas geben. Das Erlebnis hat die zusätzliche Exotik, dass es hauptsächlich im Vereinigten Königreich stattfindet, da Akrotiri britisches Hoheitsgebiet ist.

Der Spaß beginnt nach einer Sicherheitseinweisung mit einer Fahrt zum berühmten Lady's Mile Beach an der Ostküste der Halbinsel. Dann geht es weiter ins Landesinnere und entlang der Küste des Limassol-Salzsees. Nachdem Sie die Motocross-Strecke durchquert haben, sehen Sie inmitten der Obstgärten das kleine Kloster des Heiligen Nikolaus der Katzen aus dem 13.

Bald wird es richtig staubig und schmutzig, wenn Sie auf dem Weg zu den Niststränden der Schildkröten über die Sandhügel rumpeln. Als Nächstes legen Sie einen Fotostopp am rostigen Schiffswrack von Akrotiri ein, bevor Sie zum Finale der Tour zum Strand von Kourion weiterfahren.

Akrotiri Bay Buggy Tour from Limassol

The Akrotiri peninsula is your stomping ground on this thrilling three-hour buggy tour from Limassol. You'll see lots of local landmarks and even rev it up on a motocross track. The experience has the added exoticism of taking place mostly in the United Kingdom, as Akrotiri is British sovereign territory.The fun kicks off after a safety briefing, with a ride to the famous Lady's Mile Beach, on the east coast of the peninsula. You'll then cut inland and skirt the shoreline of Limassol Salt Lake. After roaming through the motocross track, you'll spot the dinky 13th century Holy Monastery of St Nicholas of the Cats among the orchards.It soon gets really dusty and dirty as you rumble over the Sand Hills en route to turtle nesting beaches. Next up is a photo stop at the rusting hulk of the Akrotiri shipwreck before zooming on to Kourion beach for the tour's finale.

Akamas Peninsula 4x4 Winter Tour

There's only one way to explore Cyprus's last wilderness – in a 4x4 vehicle. This off-road adventure will take you on a bumpy ride through the rugged Akamas peninsula. You'll get to see the wildlife-rich Avakas Gorge and Lara Bay, visit Port Latchi and the mythical Baths of Aphrodite. An action-packed day.Home to more than 160 species of birds and almost 40 species of plants, the entire peninsula is a national park. There are no main roads – just dirt tracks and pathways. The fun kicks off with a drive to the giant limestone walls of the Avakas Gorge. Next up is Lara Bay.
