Het zien van farmagusta vanaf de boot stelde niet zoveel voor, het was erg ver weg. In de ochtend een klein deel van de hotellijn mogen zien vanaf land (weinig bewegingsruimte ivm veiligheid), dan is het jammer om vanaf de boot geen betere indruk te krijgen. Wel een enthousiaste gids die veel kon vertellen. Vooral zijn verhalen over farmagusta waren indrukwekkend.

Travelling in an off-road vehicle, you'll pass through the UN buffer zone to the northern part of the island. Your first stop will be a walk through the deserted streets of Varosha, which was once a popular beach resort.
Afterwards, you'll head to Famagusta old town, where you can explore the Venetian city walls, its collection of church ruins, or the Gothic cathedral turned mosque. Finally, you'll trade exploration for relaxation with a boat cruise to the Blue Lagoon, where there's lunch on board and plenty of time to swim, snorkel or sunbathe.
