Åndalsnes: Guided Hike with Husky

2. Åndalsnes: Guided Hike with Husky

In the heart of Isterdalen, at the foot of Trollstigen, you will meet your guides for the day. They will take you on a nature experience out of the ordinary. At the start of the tour you will be given equipment and your own husky for the hike along the historic Kløvstien. Our dogs are strong and used to pulling, and you will be given hip belts with elastic that provide good traction. On their backs, the huskies will carry hooves with equipment, drinks and a small snack from Eggen Restaurant. Along the path flows the beautiful and crystal clear river Istra, where you and the dogs can cool down during the trip. Eggen Restaurant makes freshly baked cinnamon rolls that we enjoy together at our picnic area. At the same time, you learn about the husky as a dog breed and the spectacular surroundings you are hiking through. The dogs of the Siberian Husky breed are friendly and fun to walk. The dog will be yours for a couple of hours, and you will have plenty of time to get to know each other. The guides also knows the dogs very well and they can tell you a lot about the husky as a dog breed and about each dog's unique and fun personality. Join and enjoy fantastic nature in the furry company!

Small grouip with only four total travelers. Christian was a great tour guide and stopped at a number of scenic locations and explained a number of things. He brought sandwiches, drinks and cookies for us to have a picnic lunch. When we were walking on the tundra, he pointed out wild blueberries that he picked and gave them to us to eat.

So far everything was fine. The only thing I have to complain about is that I booked a German-speaking tour and got an English-speaking one.

Beautiful route. Well plan and organized. Love the Merz minibus. Both driver and guide very knowledgeable and helpful. Worth it.
