Zermatt: Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car Ticket

1. Zermatt: Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car Ticket

Start your journey at the Zermatt-Matterhorn valley station. Within 45 minutes, reach Europe’s highest mountain station at 12,740 ft (3,883 meters) above sea level - the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. First, travel in comfort in an 8-seat gondola of the Matterhorn Express on your way to Trockerner Steg. Pass lush green meadows, old Valais hamlets, and enchanting forests before the landscape changes to one with impressive moraines and stones polished by ice and glaciers.  At Trockener Steg, hop into the highest 3S cable car transporting you up to the peak. Take in spectacular views through the panoramic windows and enjoy the heated seats while crossing the Theodul Glacier. Once you reach the summit, visit the viewing platform and marvel at 38 alpine giants of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps as well as 14 glaciers. At the cinema lounge, enjoy short movies about mountaineering, the local fauna and flora, the lift facilities, and ice and snow. Or explore the highest ice palace in the world and admire handmade sculptures in the eternal ice. Before you leave the magical fairytale behind, try regional specialties at the restaurant or purchase Matterhorn souvenirs.

What people are saying about Zermatt

My parents and I took the first train at 7am and saw the sunrise over the Matterhorn, so beautiful! Unbelievable views. Just a note to other travelers: if you do take the 7am train, know that you will not be able to enter the Zoom experience until 10:30, the cafe does not open until 9am, and if you want to shop at the top, it also does not open until 9am! So if you go for sunrise, prepare to be at the top until the next train, with limited access to other things.

Spectacular View of the Matterhorn on an (almost) cloudless day - 09-03-21. You'll be disappointed if it is overcast and the mountains are not visible. My day was almost perfect and I could see and capture pictures and memories of all the 3,000m + peaks. Be caseful of the lack of oxygen at that height. Walk slowly, breath deeply.

"Unearthly" even attraction. Several different cable cars. Possibility of a change at each station to take photos or a little trekking. Beautiful views, the majestic Matterhorn almost at your fingertips and that adrenaline rush at the entrance to the top. Personally, I advise against people with fear of heights

Great experience and definitely worth the price in good weather. Since the booking can only be made shortly before the start, you can plan the weather well. It was a bit cumbersome at the ticket counter because we had to send our voucher by email and they would print it out. But it worked out well.

The exchange of the voucher at the cash register went smoothly.
