The city was founded by an ancient tribe in the 10th century B.C. and it was well known by Greek travelers and sailors so is mentioned in many Greek myths. The Old Town is almost 2000 years old and is most famous for the Euphrasian Basilica, from 1997. It is on the UNESCO world heritage list and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Istria. Notice the roman influence and architecture in the city as you walk through the main streets, still preserved in their original form.

This tour is amazing and Bojan, our guide was wonderful as well! The tour is just a great way to see the Plitvice Lakes and the waterfalls! It is just stunning to see. Bojan is just a great and energetic guide with a lot of great information.
