Full description
Enjoy a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the base of Uluru. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, your tour guide will provide you with comprehensive Segway training. You'll take part in a short safety briefing and have a practice ride on your Segway. Afterward, you'll be ready for your guided tour of the magical Uluru, also known by its non-native name, Ayers Rock. Departing from Kuniya carpark located at the base of Uluru, you'll be led by our fully qualified and knowledgeable guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore the sights and sounds. This is one of Uluru's lesser-known hidden gems. Then quietly and effortlessly cruise around the entire base of Uluru on your Segway. Take in all the highlights of the rock and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology, and the European history of the area from your knowledgeable guides. Get up close and personal with picturesque landscape, ancient Aboriginal culture, and the history of Uluru. Immerse yourself in the outback landscape that the Central Australian region is famous for. Upon return back to the Segway base, enjoy worry-free transfers back to Ayers Rock Resort or your originating hotel.

  • All guests will need to bring a Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park entry ticket
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes. Participants wearing flip-flops will not be permitted to engage
  • Remember to bring a cap, sunglasses, a shirt with sleeves, and at least 1 liter of water per person
  • This tour is recommended for those aged 12-55. Children under 12 cannot participate and those above the age of 65 are discouraged from participating due to being at an increased risk in the event of a fall

Our guide Emily was brilliant! She was very knowledgeable. Definitely a fun way to explore the whole perimeter whilst learning about the history of Uluṟu. We’ve never ridden a Segway before but they made sure we all felt confident during our training session before we left. Highly recommend

Emily was a great tour guide! She is super knowledgeable about the indigenous history and very respectful of the culture. We learned so much and had fun at the same time on the segways, was a great way to be able to cover the entire base on limited time :) would highly recommend !

The tour and guide, Emily were exceptional. The segways were a great, fun way to see the rock and Emily's knowledge of the rock and culture were amazing, thank you so much. Unfortunate that a group of 3 guests thought it was their right to at times hold up the tour, talk over the guide and giggle while she was speaking and at the end of the tour, knock the guide off of her segway. You did an amazing job under very difficult circumstances, thanks Emily.
