This was a fun-filled day! I enjoyed the drive to see another part of the island and riding the boat through the mangroves to see the crocodiles. The guide at Black River explained efforts to preserve the habitat and took us to the see where they are raising crocs to be released back to the wild. Next we went to YS Falls where Ian took us across the waterfall where I JUMPED IN and my friend dripped off the Tarzan rope into the water. That was fun! What a gorgeous landscape! Our guide Mario was on time, explained the arrangements at each place and waited for us. He put us at ease so we could just enjoy the day.

Shaldon was a great guide! Everything went great and it was well organized and timed. It makes sense to visit the NY Falls and the Pelican Bar early in the morning, because more and more tourists (groups) come from midday. Don't forget water shoes for the NY Falls. At the waterfalls, locals help you through the water. Tipping is not "obligatory", but is appreciated. Also by the boatman to the Pelican Bar. So it's good to have a few bucks in your pocket.

The tour guide was great. She was funny and very knowledgeable. As for the tour, if you get any motion sickness make sure you take medicine because the roads are very narrow and winding. The driver was navigated them very skillfully.
