Very nice trip :). The town of Whitby is located on the coast, sandy beach, sea, promenade, old town, idyllic atmosphere. I enjoyed the hour steam train ride from "Hogsmeade" station, I felt the magic of Harry Potter - a novel from my childhood. The moors are definitely heavenly beautiful in the second half of August, because then they bloom and form a purple landscape, unfortunately I was 2 weeks late, because on September 14 they were already brown and faded. I'll make up another time :). The guide is a local Yorkshire resident, for me the accent from this region is a bit difficult to understand, but even though I only understood 1/4, I consider the trip to be very successful, the scenery is picturesque!

As visitors from New Zealand what an awesome experience, from the moment that we met our guide Peter till we said goodbye. The landscape, the towns and villages, Whitby, the inspiration for Dracula, the steam train, the visit to Heartbeat country, was superb with a good variety of visits and enough time spent at each place. We never felt like we were being rushed. The dales and moors are breathtakingly beautiful. The tour was more than we expected and would recommend it to anyone. A truly magnificent and memorable experience.

A trip well worth the money. The whole trip was well organised and our guide/driver Pete was very friendly and we learned a lot about the area, its history. He took us through extremely beautiful landscape and gorgeous little villages. We would have liked to have stayed in the moors even longer to enjoy the views, but I guess it was necessary to move on to catch the steam train later in the day, which was a really enjoyable experience.
