Opened in 2010, Abu Dhabi's man-made island is a luxurious dream destination. Its enticing range of things to do make it a favorite for both visitors and locals. Here are five ways you can enjoy its best attractions.
Welcome to the largest indoor theme park on the planet. Thrilling rides, driving experiences and the fastest roller coaster in the world make it a must for kids and adults alike.
As a Formula 1 fan, you'll want to plan your visit to the circuit to coincide with November's Adu Dhabi Grand Prix. Also try out the driving experiences, go-cart track, concerts and fitness center.
This award-winning par 3-9 golf course is a must for golfers of any level, and if you're a newcomer to the game, learn to play at the club's friendly Golf Academy.
The UAE's largest waterpark boasts some of the region's most thrilling rides. Try out the most exhilarating waterslides, including the Middle East's longest suspended roller coaster!
Head to this gorgeous private beach to kayak, windsurf, or simply soak up the sun. Hotel guests enjoy the beach for free - and it's also open to the general public for a fee.
Yas Island has no shortage of luxury hotels, including the five-star Yas Viceroy, which straddles the island's Formula 1 circuit! At Yas Plaza choose from an impressive selection of places to stay, including the Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Rotana, Radisson Blu, Centro, and Park Inn.
Many of Yas' best restaurants can be found at its hotels, including the Rotana's Blue Grill steakhouse and top Indian restaurant Rangoli. Not sure what you're in the mood for? Then head to Yas Mall to browse a variety of options to suit any price range. There's a food court, sure, but many of its best eateries are dotted all over the place. It's worth exploring, so don't go when you're already ravenous!
Picked up at our hotel on time, people carrier/car with six seats for passengers. Air conditioned and comfortable. Great commentary and explanations during drive to Abu Dhabi. Fast entry into Mosque, Presidential Palace and Etihad Towers, our guide Bassit was friendly with all the security and people at these places ensuring we had quick access. Explained facts and provided information during the tour of the locations the buildings, culture and sights. Accommodated our request for lunch after providing several options.
Our Tour Guide Saddam was very knowledgeable about the UAE. He made the difference with his quirky jokes. He knew a lot about Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Watan. Lunch is not included however we went to a lovely buffet restaurant overlooking the Corniche beach. All in all it was a great experience, however it did feel a little rushed at times...
It was a great adventure. Our guide Nur is a great well-qualified guy who turned out to be a good photographer as well. He told us everything about places we visited and about places we drove past. Highly recommend to check it out)
Excellent tour, great communication in regards to pick up. Fantastic service during the day. very informative guide who knew what time to arrive and get us into places before the large crowds.
