Visit the MRU, the Polish Miedzyrzecz Fortigication Region. A region once fortified as the military defense line of Nazi Germany between the Oder and Warta rivers. Built in 1934–44, it was the most technologically advanced fortification system of Nazi Germany, and remains one of the largest and the most interesting systems of its type in the world today. It consists of around 100 concrete defense structures partially interconnected by a network of underground tunnels. Some of the forts and tunnels are available for visiting. Your driver will pick you up from Wroclaw, and take you over 200 KM to the MRU. Enjoy the picturesque drive through the mountains. Once arrived, learn from the local tour guide, about the history of the region. You can also rent an audioguide. After the tour you will return to Wroclaw. On the way you can have a lunch stop or buy some souvenirs.
