Top 10 things to do in Wrocław
Passed between kingdoms and countries throughout a turbulent history, Wrocław was one of Central Europe's most culturally diverse cities before it was laid to waste in World War II. Since then, it has rebuilt itself as one of Poland's most fascinating cities!
1. Racławice Panorama
This huge painting stretches 114 meters in its depiction of Poland's battle for indepence from Russia in 1794. It's so large that visitors must take a guided tour of it!
2. Wrocław Cathedral
The twin spires of Poland's first brick building form a long-standing icon of Wrocław. In summer, visitors can climb one of the spires to enjoy glorious views over the city.
3. Centennial Hall
Built in 1913 to mark the centenary of Napolean's defeat at the Battle of Leipzig, this over-the-top exhibition hall is a marvel of engineering and a survivor of both world wars!
4. Wrocław Fountain
Outside the Centennial Hall is this enormous multimedia fountain that dazzles audiences with water and light shows every hour from 10:00AM into the evening.
5. Szczytnicki Park
The city's oldest and largest park dates back to 1785. A meticulously landscaped garden tableux before the war, this park maintains a royal character but is now a bit more wild!
6. St. Elizabeth's Church, Wrocław
St. Elizabeth's is one of Wrocław's oldest churches and the resting place of over 100 prominent citizens. Also see the "Hansel & Gretel" houses just outside the church's cemetery.
7. Wrocław Zoo
The city's zoo can be reached via the scenic Zwierzyniecki Bridge. It boasts over 1,100 species, but few are as endearing as the Soviet-era neon sign above the entrance!
8. Wrocław Town Hall
This Gothic building is one of the city's key landmarks and a shoe-in on any sightseeing checklist. It's home to the Museum of Bourgeois Art and a 16th-century astrological clock!
9. Market Square (Rynek)
What appears to be an authentic medieval market square in the center of Wrocław's Old Town has in fact been meticulously rebuilt from the rubble of the city's 1945 seige.
10. Aula Leopoldina
Visit Wrocław University's main building to see the city's finest Baroque interior. Tickets include access to the Oratorium Marianum and a climb up the Mathematical Tower.

What people are saying about Wroclaw
We were picked up right outside of our Airbnb in Wroclaw at 10:30am. The driver was a nice young guy named Jakub (sorry if I butcher the spelling). It was a pleasant drive both ways and he told us all about life in Poland. We had a group of five and we were under the impression that it would just be us in the van but there were two other kids on the tour as well. Not a big deal but there may be other people on the drive with you, especially if you're not a big group. We stopped at a gas station halfway through each drive. The tour guide was pretty good, no complaints. After the tour of Auschwitz I, Jakub gave us each sandwiches, snacks, and waters and drove us to Auschwitz-Birkenau II. The tour through Auschwitz-Birkenau II was decent. I would most definetly recommend booking this tour if you want to see Auschwitz and don't want to deal with the hassle of driving yourself/taking trains. I've heard that taking the trains are very long process and you're cramped like sardines.
Buenísimo! We were a mixed group of Spanish and English speakers, only for 2 days, and this gave us ALL the insides we needed to know about the city. We learned a lot and got loads of recommendations what else we could do. The driver had huge knowledge and was super kind. Great time, recommended!
Overall excellent experience. The electric car was really good, safe, warm and comfortable. The price, pace, and timings were all good. Sebastian our driver was very friendly & knowledgeable. I recommend this tour, I recommend this to everyone who want to see Wroclaw in short time.
My brother and I had a great experience with our guide Shawn! Very knowledgable, friendly and passionate about the history of Poland and this city. We definetly recommend going on this 2,5 hour tour if you have the chance!
Our guide was fantastic, he had an extremely good English level, did not just run down the script but also adapted to our questions and had a delightful level of sarcasm and whit.
