Established in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Today the Queen spends most of her private weekends at Windsor Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial occasions. Your ticket provides admission to the Castle, including the magnificent State Apartments, which are furnished with some of the finest treasures from the royal collection. Among the masterpieces are paintings by Holbein, Rubens, and Van Dyck, as well as fine English and French furniture. During the winter months, the sumptuous private apartments created by George IV, known as the Semi-State Rooms, are added to the visitor route. Your admission also includes access to St. George's Chapel. This is one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England, and is the final resting place for 10 monarchs, including Henry VIII and Charles I. There is a lot to see and do at Windsor Castle, so please allow enough time to make the most of your visit, which is likely to last between 2.5 and 3 hours. I LOVED Windsor! And having pre-purchased my ticket made getting through the line much quicker. At the Castle, I was sent to a fast-track lane to exchange my digital voucher for an actual (keepsake!) ticket. Security check was quick. Take the time to enjoy the grounds and just take in all the history that is around you. I took my time before going in to see Queen Mary's Dolls' House and the state apartments, and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed looking into the moat garden. Be sure to leave time for St. George's Chapel, as I had to rush through it. Take note of any closing times for shops or features at the Castle. The town of Windsor is also delightful, but note that many of the shops close at 5:30 or earlier. The train to Windsor from London was the best way for me to travel, and it was easy to get to where I needed to be.

Well organised with time entry to keep crowds down. The guided headphone commentary for St George’s chapel was good but could be improved as the state rooms commentary was so much better.

Everything was perfect. Excellent staff that was available to assist with any questions the castle was and is so beautiful. Highly recommend as a must see

Had a great visit and the staff were all incredibly, knowlegable, and eager to help. They made us feel very welcome.

Everyone was extremely courteous. Extremely good for the elderly.
