From this bustling city, head to a quieter but equally profound place, the standing stone circle of Stonehenge. Having explored this mystical place, your tour will continue to Exeter, the Romans most southwesterly fortified settlement and your base for 2 nights. Day 2 Your morning is spent exploring the magnificent wilderness of Dartmoor, the ancient "Clapper Bridge" at Postbridge, and the historic market town of Tavistock, home to Francis Drake. What people are saying about Winchester

It was like a private tour. We were the only two people on Bryan’s tour. He did an exceptional job. He is very experienced leading tours and very knowledgeable about the history of Winchester (and Britain). We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Winchester through the eyes of a local expert

We had an absolutely awesome experience. Bryan made it very entertaining, animated and fun, despite the complexity and versatility of the information. He made it feel and sound like a time travel, bringing to life the historical and literary characters.

Best way to start a holiday, To see and hear about the city that you might miss out on otherwise. I will definitely do it again for other city’s. Paul

I found the tour very interesting and Brian had a huge amount of knowledge of the history of Winchester.

Brian was professional and very knowledgable and had excellent communication skills
