From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

1. From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

Paddle a canoe and ride a longtail boat on this multi-stop adventure tour from Phuket with private and shared options. Taste local food, swim at Talu Cave, and visit James Bond Island to see the majestic limestone karsts made famous by the 1974 James Bond movie, “The Man with the Golden Gun.” After pickup from your hotel in Phuket, head straight to the first stop of the day, Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as the Monkey Cave, because of the cheeky primates living in the temple complex. Descend into the cave temple and look at the statues and carvings before making your way to the pier. Next, board a longtail boat and sail to the second stop, Panyee Island, also known as the Floating Village. Built on stilts by the local fishermen, the island has been inhabited since the 18th century. Explore the village, taking in local life, before having lunch at a restaurant in the village. After stuffing your belly with delicious local fare, board the boat again to make your way to Talu Cave. Enjoy some free time to canoe and swim in the beautiful blue water. Explore the cave area, where you will find incredible stalactites and stalagmites and unusually shaped rock formations. Then, continue to the day’s main attraction, James Bond Island. Stop at the perfect viewpoint to see the breathtaking 20-meter rock formation, a solitary cliff surrounded by turquoise waters and cliffs. Admire the unforgettable picturesque scenery before starting the journey back to Phuket.

Hamit the tour guide and Cha the driver were amazing on the trip we took. Definitely recommend the tour if you want to go and visit the James Bond island by boat, the floating village is a great stop too. The kayak tour is amazing the kayak guide paddles for you and takes you around an island to so all the amazing caves that the water created trough thousands of years.

The tour was great, although we almost only had rain. Our Tozrguide Maria was amazing and was able to give us a lot of information. The only drawback was that the bot we used to visit the island was pretty loud. But they can't help it because that's just the way it is. It's best to take earplugs with you... Ps the food was absolutely amazing.

Our trip was wonderfully organised from start to finish. The driver picked us up at the agreed time, and we didn’t have to think about anything during the tour. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Phuket!
