This was our first trip to Wellington City, so took the opportunity to visit the Wellington Cable Car. This was an awesome experience, loved the ride up and back. Loved the relaxed atmosphere at the Eatery Cafe, where the food and service was excellent. The museum was informative, with lots of interesting displays and the Space Centre, was the same. Didn't realise we were up the top for 4 hours. This was definitely a must do, while in Wellington, so glad we did 🙂 thank you for this experience.

I was able to skip the line with this advance purchase ticket and save a lot of time. I came into town on a cruise ship and the ticket line wrapped around the block. Same price as getting it in person so I was very happy! Enjoyed the short ride to the top and had a nice breakfast at the little restaurant. There's also a pharmacy which was great for picking up a couple needed supplies. Highly recommended!

Cable car was easy to find from the cruise ship using a map Fairly short trip up which is fairly uneventful, but instead of taking the non optional return journey down we opted for a beautiful walk down through the botanical gardens which has several trails ending in a rose garden and tea rooms at the bottom.
