    Tour was relaxed, informative and enjoyable. We visited some many places and had enough time to do some self exploration as well. Our tour guide was helpful and it was great to hear the stories and history. This is a really enjoyable day.

    Were told the upper Clutha River track from Albert Town to Wanaka was closed due to washouts. Detour was through suburbs. We went on the Clutha track anyway. First 50 meters was very rocky, rest was absolutely fine. So glad we did that part as it was the best!

    Your guide will give you instructions on river safety and technique, as well as tips on river reading and directions as to where to find the action and best play spots. With a bit of practice you’ll soon be cruising down the river in style. Be prepared to get a little wet and have a giggle. You will be greeted by the professional and friendly guides and transported to the Clutha River access point. You will then be fitted with your gear and given a full safety briefing and instructions for your tour. Our group had no climbing experience and was a bit nervous. Katie, our guide, was supportive and encouraging and made us feel brave and kept us safe. This activity was challenging but the huge sense of achievement was so worth it and the views were spectacular.

Can’t rate this experience higher! Great way to see a huge range of different sites without feeling like you’re spending the majority of the day driving - our guide (Wayne) was amazing!
