Full description

Enjoy a wine and food tour around Waiheke Island, the most populated island in New Zealand. Stop and taste at three local vineyards, take in views of the Hauraki Gulf, and explore Waiheke's largest beach, Onetangi Beach.

Start with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula. Stop first for a tasting and casual lunch at a local vineyard.

If time allows after lunch, head towards Onetangi, a 1.87 kilometer-long, north-facing beach with beautiful old Pohutukawa trees on the foreshore. For many years, the beach has been the site of the Onetangi Beach Races, a family fun adventure day that supports local causes.

Leave Onetangi for a second vineyard and more wine tasting. For a final stop, visit a picturesque vineyard overlooking the Hauraki Gulf. Enjoy another wine tasting as you take in the view.

At the end of the tour, return to the Waiheke Wharf with your guide in time to catch a return ferry. Alternatively, choose to stay on the island for dinner (at your own expense) and make your way back when you are ready.

On arrival, the tour guide is ready to welcome us and, having had the tour by ourselves was a bonus. I am sure it would’ve been nice having others too. Though, it will be a different experience, of course. Stone Ridge is beautiful! An amazing experience where we were very well looked after. There’s enough time to enjoy the view, the atmosphere and the food with the wine. A great combination for a treat day. Topped with two more wineries where the customer service was excellent and the wine tasting, delicious. The views are breathtaking and towards the end, you get an afternoon view of the sun, setting behind the hills from the last stop. Overall, we had a relaxing and an enjoyable afternoon.
