Full description

Travel back in time and witness the events that made Vienna the cosmopolitan city it is today. Enjoy six scenes with breathtaking virtual reality technology that let you relive the past on a unique two-hour tour with an audioguide. Take part in a procession on White Sunday in 1483, one of the few occasions when the ornaments were brought out and shown to the public. Take cover as the Ottoman Empire carries out another siege during the second siege in 1683. Experience the darkness during the plague that killed half of Europe and learn about Augustin, a singer who showed that Vienna could survive such terrible times with humor and music. On a sunny day, walk around the Hofburg and see Empress Sisi and Emperor Franz Joseph II on a hunting trip. Luckily, you're standing very close to the road, so don't forget to wink. At the Opera you will experience Vienna in the golden 20s and see how people prepare for an opera performance. In the last scene at St. Stephens square see the cathedral burn in the last month of the terrible Second World War and witness the Soviet army driving the last German soldiers out.

The tour was just great! The guide told us a lot of exciting information and stories about Vienna that we would probably never have found out otherwise. With the VR glasses, it was possible to immerse yourself in history and feel part of this time. You could really watch the scenes in a 360 degree view. It was a unique experience and far exceeded our expectations.

The tour is highly recommended and was an interesting experience. The leader of the historical tour reported a lot of interesting and amusing things and was very helpful. After a brief introduction to handling the glasses, they were easy to use and the addition of a look back into the past made this city tour a special experience.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Have traveled to many cities and taken part in many city tours, but today was something very special. To not only be told about the change in contemporary history, but to experience it was stunning. You could really step back in history. Between the individual VR stories, you took part in an interesting audio tour. Our guide was very open, had a lot of additional information for you and answered every question that came up competently. Always happy and hopefully soon in other cities.
