While visiting Vienna this past month, I decided to go on this particular river cruise to experience this activity for the first time in Vienna. The seating was well organised and I had a nice front and side view of the scenery as the boat moved along the river. As I was on my own, I wondered if I would be sitting solo or with other passengers, but I was lucky enough to sit with two very nice people from France, which made my experience more enjoyable. The food was good, and starting off with a “Blue Danube Cocktail,” and later some very nice Austrian wine, complemented the food served. The waiters were very nice and attentive, and I felt that my evening was fun and well organised. I definitely recommend this adventure, and being a single traveller made it more interesting. You never know who you will meet and enjoy an evening of fine dining on the famous Blue Danube and on a beautiful Spring evening!

When we ( two people ) arrived on board we were shown to a table for four we said that we were not happy about this given the situation of COVID and we’re told that cruise was quite full and there wasn’t anything they could do, the other couple didn’t turn up so it worked out alright sadly there isn’t much to see along the canal leading to the Danube but the food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. This was booked to do something different for a special occasion and it was worth it.

The dinner cruise was good although, our voucher said to exchange it for a ticket but office was already closed so we exchanged them directly at the entrance to the boat. The boarding time was delayed by at least 50 min and it took forever to get seated. The food and service was great though. I wish they had a narrative about what we were seeing. There was nothing, no music no narrative. Overall experience was OK. Would I do it again, probably not but.
