Vienna: Skip-the-Line Giant Ferris Wheel Ride

1. Vienna: Skip-the-Line Giant Ferris Wheel Ride

A ride on this significant and fascinating structure provides spectacular views over the whole city. The Giant Ferris Wheel is a true cultural and architectural highlight for any guest in the city: you haven't really visited Vienna until you've taken a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel and marveled at the breathtaking views over the roofs of Vienna! The Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel rotates at a speed of 2.7 kilometers per hour. A complete rotation takes just over 4 minutes, but only when the Ferris wheel has not stopped to let passengers on or off. More commonly, a ride takes between 12 and 15 minutes, during which time you can enjoy picturesque views over Vienna and the surrounding area, such as the hills of the Vienna Woods, the Danube, the Marchfeld, and the Pannonian Basin.

We travelled from St Stephen’s to the park using the tram U1. An easy journey from the centre of Vienna and arrived close to the amusement park. The U2 tram also goes there. At 10.00 there were no queues; so on a lovely sunny day we enjoyed wonderful views of the Vienna skyline. The wheel travels slowly and stops completely to allow passengers to get on and off. Plenty of opportunities to take photos. Would recommend this experience - the opportunity to ride on the ‘vintage Vienna Eye’ is not to be missed.

My guide (i forgot his name) is really friendly! It felt really like private tour and we laughed alot. Such nice e-Bus tour it was, I would recommend to take this short-but-not-that-short trip to get to know the city in general first

Great! Used this bus to see all the best places around Vienna and then used it to get to them! Commentary on board was really interesting too.

Uncomplicated handling of the online ticket for the hop on hop off tours as well as the vienna ticket incl. boat tour on the Danube

A wonderful taste of Vienna in style with Max. An amazing start to our time here.
