Get to the bottom of these questions in the truest sense of the word with a guided wine tasting in the city's deepest and non-public wine cellar.  A professional wine expert will lead you into the cellar to taste three different wines. This was great fun and something a bit different to do during a visit to Vienna. We started by meeting our guide, Sina, in Vienna and travelling out by train to the wine region to collect the bikes and get on our way. We had a lovely group with a mixture of solo travellers and a couple. Sina was great at pointing out sights and stopping to give us information about the area we were cycling through, the different grapes and the vineyards and local history. He was very attentive to making sure we were happy with the bikes and that no-one got left behind. He also brought rain ponchos (which were sadly needed!). There were plenty of opportunities to refill water bottles along the way so no need to bring more than one bottle with you. We visited two wine makers for tastings and the pretty little town of Durnstein for lunch with time to explore. The views were absolutely stunning throughout. All in all, this was a brilliant experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Paolo was our guide, he took good care of us. The tour starts on time setting off at Vienna Explorer. We take a train and then a cross state train (1 hour with nice views). We then take our bikes and go along a very scenic route. I wished there was more chance to stop to take pictures but it’s tough to do that while on bike and time is a little tight. Nonetheless I managed to fully take in the full beauty of the Danube and the vast hills. Company was great, wines were great. Learnt a lot about wines in Wachau. Thank you!

Very entertaining and enjoyed a lovely piece of strudel & hot drink. Took quite a long time for the show to get under way by the time everyone was given strudel & a drink so allow more time in case you have a slot to visit the palace.

A very beautiful hotel with a fascinating history, plus a first-class menu with top service. It was a special experience!

Great food, excellent service, though missed music in the restaurant
