Vienna: Entry Tickets for Upper, Lower or Belvedere21

1. Vienna: Entry Tickets for Upper, Lower or Belvedere21

The Belvedere in Vienna is one of the leading museums worldwide. Its famous art collection includes works ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day. The unique complex, with its two palaces of the Upper and Lower Belvedere and extensive gardens, is one of the most stunning Baroque architectural marvels in the world. Highlights include the world's largest collection of Gustav Klimt paintings as well as prominent works from the periods of Viennese Biedermeier, Austrian Baroque, Vienna around 1900, and French Impressionism. Now, for the first time in decades, the museum will once again host large-scale special exhibitions that you can admire on your visit. In the 18th century, the Austrian general Prince Eugene of Savoy commissioned the renowned Baroque architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt to build the complex. After the death of Prince Eugene, Empress Maria Theresa acquired the entire complex and transformed the Upper Belvedere into an exhibition venue for the imperial collections – making it one of the first public museums in the world. The Lower Belvedere, formerly the residence of Prince Eugene, is home to illustrious exhibitions. The Baroque gardens of the Belvedere rank among the most beautiful in the world. The main garden is situated between the Lower and the Upper Belvedere and extends over three large terraces. The Belvedere park is also home to the Botanical Garden and the oldest Alpine garden in Europe. The modern pavilion of the Belvedere 21, by architect Karl Schwanzer, is a stage for contemporary art.

Very well done tour. On the way there and back, the guides gave us lots of information about the regions we were passing through. And once we got there, we enjoyed the included boat ride and were recommended things to do in the area. I only wish we were allotted more time in the town itself - we drove 4 hours each way just to spend so little time. I imagine we could've spent an extra hour in hallstatt and still been home early. Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves.

Very beautiful museum with an exciting painting collection. We had booked some time away from home; but arrived 1 1/2 hours early so we were set to wait; but was allowed to enter before time by the friendly staff. Thank you for a really good experience! Sincerely, Else Nørlund

Some very interesting and beautiful artwork! I kept coming back and looking at the Kiss again and again. Thankfully, this museum is not so crowded that this was actually possible!

Very nice place! Super calm and people were super nice too

It was very good! You should plan about 3.5 hours.
