Full description

Join a bike tour to see Verona, considered the most romantic Italian city thanks to the fascination of one of the most important of Shakespeare’s plays, Romeo and Juliet. As you cycle, imagine the beautiful history and fiction of this city. Reach Piazza Bra, the largest piazza in all of Verona. See the Verona Arena, a Roman amphitheater built around 30 A.D. Cycle through Piazza delle Erbe and its open-air market, Piazzale Castel San Pietro and the beautiful San Zeno basilica. From Brà Molinari, enjoy an amazing view of the city's river and hills. After stopping in front of the Duomo and crossing the ancient Roman arch bridge Ponte Pietra, prepare your legs: you'll leave your bikes for a little while to climb up to Castel San Pietro by a panoramic staircase. Climb 231 steps to a viewpoint of Verona's skyline. Rest assured: you will be highly rewarded for your small effort by the spectacular ruins of the Roman Theatre and by a breathtaking view of Verona. Halfway up the panoramic stairway, you'll also stop to admire the view of the Roman Theatre ruins.

We had a great morning with Francesca. The bikes were good quality with a soft saddle, different size options available. The tour takes you all around the old city, hitting the major spots and although we’d been in Verona a few days already it was great to hear the history of all the sites. Francesca was very knowledgeable and spoke superb English. Being able to handle a bike is a must as it’s very busy in parts. Don’t hesitate to book, this very enjoyable tour.

Nice ride along all the highlights. Despite a 'normal' bike, easy to do / not heavy. Guide Julia tells a lot of fun facts. The only thing that stands out is that many Italians are annoyed by a group of cyclists. On the other hand, behavior in traffic in Italy is of course already 'special' ;-)

Great tour, can be recommended! However, GetyourGide announced the tour with e-bikes, which were not available on site. That wasn't a problem in principle, but the guide told us that the tour hasn't taken place with e-bikes for more than 2 years, but GetyourGuide just can't manage to change that in its description on the platform... Still : You can easily complete the tour without an e-bike.
