Aquarium Square of Veracruz will be the starting point of your fortress of San Juan de Ulúa tour. You will first be transported in a picturesque streetcar whilst being delighted by nearby historical monuments. You will then tour the interior of the enclosure with a guided tour. Upon returning to Aquarium Square at 3:30PM, you can enter the Aquarium of Veracruz which exhibits a wide variety of marine species, and is nowadays considered one of the most important aquariums in Latin America. Afterwards, you will have the chance to taste the traditional gastronomy in the charming, mangrove-surrounded village of Mandinga, an important port city in Veracruz. Your package will include a boat tour of Mandinga, which you will have the opportunity to exchange for tickets to the wax museum, Ripley's museum, rotating tunnel, mirror maze, and 4D travel. There you can take photographs with your favorite characters, and in addition can enjoy the Rotating Tunnel, an incredible optical illusion that defies your sense of balance. Start the tour at 12:30 PM and set off for the fortress. When you arrive, begin the experience in a colorful tram ride, which will take you to San Juan de Ulúa. Find out how, at first, the place was a sacred temple where the natives venerated their gods prior to the Spanish conquest. Years later, the Spanish conquistadors built the fort and a pier, galleons that came from Europe, becoming a gateway to Mexico. Later, it became the most feared prison in Mexico, where the legends of Chucho "El Roto" and "Mulata de Cordoba" were created. Before the tour ends, see the port of Veracruz from the San Juan de Ulúa fortress and take incredible photos, so that you can take great memories of this historic place home with you. Take the tram back at around 3 PM. The tour ends at 3:30 PM in Aquarium Plaza.
