Full description

Your first stop will be the island of Murano. Sometimes referred to as the Island of Glass, where you will visit one of its famous glass factories and see the glass being manufactured and blown. If you don’t want to do this, you'll be able to walk around the island in total autonomy for about 1 hour. The next stop will be the island of Burano, where you'll have lunch in the typical restaurant 'Al Raspo de Ua'. You can enjoy a 4-course menu: a first course of pasta with fish sauce or seafood pasticcio and, as a main, fried or grilled fish. You can also try a nice slide of homemade cake!

If you don't like fish or suffer from intolerances, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices are available. The stop in Burano will last 2 hours in total. The excursion will continue with a visit to Torcello, the cradle of Venetian civilization, where you will spend around an hour. This island is inhabited only by a dozen people, you will see historical and artistic artworks, such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the ruins of the Baptistery of San Giovanni Evangelista, Attila’s Throne, and the fabled Devil's Bridge. It was a good experience, although we are not very fond of organized trips. The partner restaurant is also good. Only suggestion: at the appointment it would be nice to meet someone on the mainland who is waiting and welcoming you, we and others have independently searched for the pier and the boat

It was great to get off our feet for a bit and enjoy the boat ride and sights. We visited just one glass blowing shop and could shop there. No time to actually walk around the island. Murano was beautifully colorful. We did the lunch, but that took up all of our time to shop or see the lace making. But the lunch was fantastic.

Great day out!

Beautiful boat ride in beautiful weather. Talented guide who spoke at least 6 languages, tho I'd have preferred less talking to enjoy the scenery, but lots of nationalities to advise. Glass blowing was superb but would give the showrooms a miss; Instead we went for a stroll through the streets, plenty if glass for sale there if you want it and you get the scenery too. Lunch was perfect, restaurant was deceptive from outside, looked like a cafe but service was Excellent, food great even tho there was a very large birthday oarty in at the same time! You could probably do it cheaper by yourself but this was a very stress free day and worth the extra!!
