Full description
Depart from the railway station on Piazzale Roma and journey to Murano, famous for its glass-blowing industry. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the still-thriving tradition has been passed down over generations and each glass blower has developed their own personal style. Watch a glass-blowing demonstration and learn to recognize the difference between the various artisans and brands during your 1-hour stay on the island. Then, continue to the island of Burano, known for its crochet work and brightly colored houses. Get picture-perfect views of the landmarks of Burano, such as the leaning bell tower and the main square of Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, named after a major 18th-century Venetian composer. Look in some of the lace shops during your 1.5-hour visit to the island. Then, conclude your travels on Piazza San Marco and see sights such as the Doge's Palace and Campanile as you stroll around the famous colonnades.

During this visit we saw murano and burano. In Murano a mini glassmaker's demo in Italian or in English with the passage through the shop. Then you have to visit Murano by yourself: around 40 minutes on the spot (a little short) Then departure to Burano: mini lace demo (in French) then visit of Burano by yourself. About 1 hour. Very good to go around and take pictures but a bit short if you want more to eat or have a drink. In short, this tour is great if you are in Venice for a short time and want a quick overview. The boat smells a little of diesel and you don't hear much of the explanations. But for the price, you can't ask for too much :-)

A superb experience that allows you to quickly visit Murano and Burano and their respective glass and lace. The times on site are a bit short, there is no time to sit down for a drink or a bite to eat. But the guided tour is pleasant and very nifty. The guide is funny.

Quick and painless tour to the islands of Murano and Burano (from 10 to 14 approximately). A visit to the glass and lace workshops is not compulsory and in any case the tour of the islands is autonomous. Nice idea of giving a taste of Burano biscuits: it makes you want to buy them. Very good guide who tells in 4 languages (Italian, English, Spanish and French) a bit of the lagoon during the boat transfer. In my opinion the boat carries about 80/90 people.
