Full description
Enjoy a half day excursion to discover the wonders of the Venetian Lagoon. Departing from Venice, travel across the lagoon to visit the three islands of the Venetian Lagoon: Murano, Burano and Torcello. You also have the option to explore the islands of Murano and Burano only, without rushing, with enough time to stroll around the islands and get lost in their beauty and hidden corners. You can choose the better option for you. The tour will start in St. Mark's Square area where you will board a panoramic boat and leave towards the northern part of the lagoon. Some explanations will be provided in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian along the way. The first stop will be Murano Island, famous for its glass production and picturesque views. Here, have the chance to visit a glass factory and observe a local artist giving shape to a glass piece of art. Let yourself be amazed by Murano Island, but also remember to get back in time to the boat to leave for the next highlight. The next stop is Burano Island, famous for its colorful houses. Apart from being a paradise for photography lovers, it is home to a long tradition of lace production. Enough free time will be left to stroll around the island and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that can still be found here. If you have chosen the option for the Three Islands, the next stop is Torcello, known as the Mother of Venice. You have the chance to visit the Basilica, which is one of the oldest in the Lagoon and holds some beautiful mosaics, or maybe visit the museum. If not you can just spend your time walking around this enchanting and very historical island.  With eyes full of beauty and camera cards full of memories to cherish, you will then catch your motorboat ride back to Venice.

The trip was well completed, and a good change to walk around Venice itself. The first 2 islands were entertaining. The first with glassblowing, and the second with painted houses. The last island was nothing on. It was really deadly. There was nothing to see. Everyone just sat and waited to sail back to Venice.

Loved the boat tour with guide! The islands are great and it was fantastic to see the glass blowing in action. This tour can be done using public transport and we considered cancelling the tour and going by public ferry and we are so glad we didn't as they were PACKED even now with Covid-19 and far less tourists in Venice than normal. This guided boat tour had sanitiser available and passengers were required to wear a mask on board (even if sat outside) even while the boat was travelling between destinations. Highly recommend it!
