We will start from The Vatican Gardens. The Vatican Gardens date back to medieval times when orchards and vineyards extended north of the Papal Apostolic Palace. Pope Nicholas III in 1279 moved his residence to the Vatican from the Lateran Palace, closing this area with walls. He created an orchard, a meadow and a garden. Thi tour covers the Museums, characterized by some galleries as the Pio-Clementino, the Candelabras, Tapestry and Maps, Raphael's Rooms (the Renaissance apartment frescoed by Raphael). The itinerary leads to the Sistine Chapel, the Chapel was decorated by Michelangelo: the ceiling with the famous "Creation of Adam" and then the "Last Judgement" on the wall behind the altar. The collections of the Museums also were built up gradually by various popes from the Renaissance onwards and now constitute the biggest museum complex in the world. Excellent tour. Could not have asked for more. I was admittedly apprehensive about this tour (and the associated cost), but found that this was one of my most memorable experiences that I have ever had within Rome. Highly recommend this!

It was a very nice experience. Our guide was the Best. She loves history. We learned a lot of interesting informations. I liked it very much.

The visit to Vatican City, including the Vatican Gardens, the Sistine Chapel is beautiful, a must do when you are in Rome, it is a must.
