Mystical Rainforest Tour - Forest Magick

1. Mystical Rainforest Tour - Forest Magick

Enjoy a truly unique guided nature walk, where you will embark on a relaxed, mindfulness-based stroll through the wild enchantment of a west coast temperate rainforest. A whole lot more than just a walk in the park, these tours are very experiential in nature, with structured activities grounded in the principles of forest bathing and nature mysticism. Your tour starts with a brief introduction to forest bathing and nature mysticism. You will be introduced to a unique philosophy or mindset that involves a deliberate acknowledgment of nature with suggestions on how to show your gratitude.  You will be invited to set an intention of what you would like to receive from the forest during your tour (e.g. insight, healing, stress reduction). Upon entering the forest, you will learn about Vancouver Island’s West Coast Temperate Rainforests – seeing, touching, tasting, smelling and listening to the vibrant presence and ecosystem that brings the rainforest to life. Now that you are grounded, your forest bathing and nature mysticism experience can begin.

2. From Sechelt or Langdale: Sunshine Coast Tour and Hike

Immerse yourself in the culture and nature of the Sunshine Coast on a small group tour of the area's highlights. Check out some local shops at Gibson Landing, stop for some lunch at Roberts Creek, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park. Start with pickup from either the ferry or airport terminal. From there, head to Gibson Landing to browse the local boutique shops including Gibsons Public Market. Check out Molly’s Reach, which is famous for being a key location in CBC’s longest-running Canadian drama, The Beachcombers. Head up the coast to the arty community of Roberts Creek. Take a gentle stroll along the pier and beaches. Further north, visit Sechelt, a charming seaside town where you can find local arts and hand-crafted goods. Here, there will be time to stop for a lunch break at a local favorite brewery. Continue along the Sunshine Coast highway until you arrive in the Halfmoon Bay area. Hike to the Smuggler Cove Marine Park viewpoint through lush forests, Arbutus trees, and toward the mouth of the cove. Admire the views out into Georgia Straight, Thormanby Island, and Texada Island.

I thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience. For me the spiritual back to nature activity was just what I needed to begin my vacation. I was fortunate enough to be the first to be picked up by our guide so I had an opportunity to get to know him a little before the activity. He is perfect for this activity. I believe this is not for everyone so I would read about the activity before booking just to make sure you are aware of the uniqueness. A clue is forest bathing which has nothing to do with water. See you next trip

John is a really good guide who knows a lot about trees and plants! The meditation exercises were really funny and helpful too, I felt calm after it. I would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to experience a walk in a beautiful wood in a different way!

We usually try to do something at the beginning of our holidays to help us slow down and relax--like a massage or spa day. This was even better for getting us into vacation mode.

John is a person passionate about trees, very rewarding as an experience, pleasant walk with a super funny and friendly guide

I really loved it, it was so beautiful, and I met some absolutely wonderful humans. I definitely recommend it.
