One of Casas del Bosque’s biggest strengths is its soil. In the hills, red clay composites of volcanic origin sit on top of decomposed granite layers formed 110 million years ago beneath the Pacific Ocean. This soil gives their wines the unique characteristic sea salt flavor.  Casas del Bosque has gained great prestige over the years and in 2010 became the Best Vineyard to Visit in Chile. What people are saying about Valparaíso

This was a great day trip from Santiago. Driver Cristian and Guide Daniel were both excellent! We had lots of time to walk around Valparaiso and see the wonderful murals. Daniel guided us to the best spots. First though we went to a fish market on the coast and there was time to explore for a bit there also. Lunch was on our own which was really nice as we did not all have to choose from the same menu which would not always work for everyone. Then the wine tasting was on the way home which was perfect. We did a different tour on a different day and they had wine tasting first which just makes me sleepy and tired

It's an excellent option to see different attractions around Santiago all in one day, combining an extended visit in Valparaiso with a short look at Viña del Mar and wine tasting. Our expert guide, Dani, not only explained us the stuff we visited but provided us with a lot of background information on the whole country of Chile.

It was a fun day. Our guide grew up in Valparaiso so obviously knows it very well. You see the highlights of the two cities, have a great lunch (a bit pricy but very good) and have a couple of wines at a winery on the way back. If you want more of a wine tasting you should take a tour with that focus, but this was fine for us.

Miguel was excellent guide. His knowledge of history, area and wine was exceptional. Well worth the time and money!

Oscar and Daniel are amazing. Very educational, timely and an incredible travel value.
