Full description
Lose yourself in pristine nature, silence, the sounds of flying birds, the clarity of water, native trees, local stories, and much more on a visit to the impressive and historical Tierra del Fuego National Park. Enjoy the convenience of being picked up at your hotel in Ushuaia and choose whether to take an optional ride on the End of the World train. After pickup, start your journey to the End of the World National Park. Along the way, stop to admire the panoramic views over the Beagle Channel before crossing the river and arriving at the End of the World Station. If you choose the option with the train, take a 40-minute ride on this iconic route; if not, spend some free time exploring the national park. Once inside the park, walk along different interpretive trails, getting to know the place and local history. Visit Lake Roca (also known as Lake Errazuriz) to appreciate its waters, the surrounding forest formed by trees over 300-years-old, and the borders with Chile. In the vicinity, stop off at the Alakush Visitor Center to explore the fauna, flora, and zoology, as well as the human occupation, of the park. Continue along the connecting trails until you reach the end of National Route #3 in Lapataia Bay. Only in summer, when it's open, stop at Ensenada Zaratiegui where you'll find the most southerly post office. After about 4-5 hours, finish your adventure with the feeling of having been part of the history and nature of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago as you return to Ushuaia.
