Full description
Enjoy being immersed in nature at Tierra del Fuego National Park. Enjoy an intense walk a ride in inflatable canoes, across an incredible landscape with rivers, sea, mountains, and forests.  Inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park walk a 7-kilometer path, considered of medium difficulty, to discover a recovered paradise where the mountains can be reached from near the sea, and freshwater rivers and lakes coexist with the marine coast. Near the Acigami Lake, enjoy lunch in a dining tent out of the wind or rain. Afterwards, grab your provided rubber boots, pants, and life jackets and get aboard very safe and stable inflatable canoes. Reach Lapataia Bay following the slow flow of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers. For about an hour, you will see the transition from the freshwater environment to the sea at Lapataia Bay.

The service provider did a really good job and we really enjoyed the day. Our guide, Pampa, clearly loves his job and his knowledge of a diverse range of topics combined with his sense of humour made him a pleasure to be with. The trek was more than just a walk, with useful information on flora and fauna and snippets regarding the original inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego. Lunch was more than adequate and the rafting in the afternoon was a bit of fun if a bit lacking in the adrenaline content. Thanks also to the bus driver who went about his job quietly and pleasantly. Our only disappointment was with the agent who continually refused to recognise our hotel as a pick up point but offered no alternatives. It was left to Julieta to sort out their mess and provide us assurance that we would indeed be picked up.

We had a fantastic time on this trip, the canoeing was great fun and not too physically challenging, the guides were fantastic at keeping us on track and entertained. Santiago our trekking guide was very friendly bi-lingual and highly knowledgable about the local history, nature and generally about ushuaia. Lunch was delicous. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend the trip to all.
