4. From Ushuaia: Escondido Lake 4x4 Off-Road Trip with Canoeing

An off-road vehicle will pick you up at your hotel to take you through the Fuegian Andes Mountain Range to visit three special viewpoints. Take an opportunity to snap your best photo of Escondido Lake. Head down an old woodcutter's path across the forest and down a hill until reaching the lake. You then receive a technical briefing from your guide and grab the oars with your paddle buddy to start your 45-minute canoe excursion. Back on shore, start a 1-hour off-road adventure around the coastline of Lake Escondido, crossing the native forest until reaching Fagnano Lake, where you’ll enjoy a hot coffee and a delicious piece of cake before starting a 30-minute trek through the forest or around the shore. At the end of your Fagnano experience, prepare to taste a traditional asado (barbecue) in a cottage in the woods. Nawel (i know i am spelling it wrong) was really wonderful, pleasant, and overall my dad and I had a blast. The driver knew exactly what he was doing and it was impressive! Nawel knew a lot about everything- he pretty much was able to answer all of our questions. We saw amazing lakes in the area, had one of the best Lunch i’ve had in Ushuaia (better than a restaurant) and our group was very social and we all were buddies by the end of it. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic time on this trip, the canoeing was great fun and not too physically challenging, the guides were fantastic at keeping us on track and entertained. Santiago our trekking guide was very friendly bi-lingual and highly knowledgable about the local history, nature and generally about ushuaia. Lunch was delicous. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend the trip to all.

A spectacular tour We leave with the 4x4 they will tell you the history of Ushuaia and its habitat When you arrive at the Garibaldi pass, you go down to the viewpoint then start the trio in the middle of lakes and untraced routes, very fun It ends with an excellent barbecue, with chopped salad, wine and dessert. Excellent
