Witness the splendor of Uluru on this day trip from Alice Springs. Depart Alice Springs early to get a taste of the Australian Outback with a stop at Erldunda for a buffet breakfast. Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru National Park. When you arrive at the Uluru Sunset viewing platform, be greeted by a selection of Australian wines and a cheese board as you begin to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. Find your ideal spot, and then just sit back and relax as you watch the sun disappear behind the horizon and change the colors of the rocks in a million splendid ways. After sunset, you will be transferred to an exclusive barbecue site. The site is located far enough away from the resort lights to provide a clear view of the stars in the southern sky. Relax in the company of friends and fellow travelers on beautiful white tablecloths, enjoying sparkling wine. Dine on an Australian gourmet barbecue menu of steak, kangaroo meat, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads, and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of red and white wines, beer, and soft drinks.  After dinner, tea, coffee, and dessert will be served and your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight. The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars before you return to Ayers Rock Resort. 

Join a guided sunrise tour to Field of Light, an immersive art installation featuring 50,000 solar-powered stems and globes that resemble a field of glowing flowers, with transfers from Yulara included. See the gentle rhythms of color light up the desert and enjoy a hot drink at the crack of dawn. Rise early to travel the short distance to a desert location overlooking Uluru. Your driver/guide will provide insights and the background of the art installation. Under the cover of darkness, wander through the pathways that encompass the 50,000 spheres of light in the desert, before making your way up the hill to the Dune Top viewing area. Watch the transformation of colors and life as the desert awakens, while enjoying tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Gaze in awe as the sun rises in the distance behind Uluru and the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert sky. See the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, be flooded with light. Even if you have walked around Uluru, you won't fully apprecaite the awesome spectacle of this monolith until you see it from the air. You will be able to take photos that you will treasure forever through unique bubble windows. Upon pick-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned transfer coach, you will be driven to the Ayers Rock airport where your crew will provide you with a thorough brief on helicopter safety prior to boarding the helicopter.  After boarding the helicopter, you will then be flown to discover the awe-inspiring scenery of Uluru and its surroundings. Exceptional visibility is frequent in the Red Centre - witness the breathtaking vastness and stunning contrasts of the Australian desert landscape. 

Enjoy a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the base of Uluru. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, your tour guide will provide you with comprehensive Segway training. You'll take part in a short safety briefing and have a practice ride on your Segway. Afterward, you'll be ready for your guided tour of the magical Uluru, also known by its non-native name, Ayers Rock. Departing from Kuniya carpark located at the base of Uluru, you'll be led by our fully qualified and knowledgeable guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore the sights and sounds. This is one of Uluru's lesser-known hidden gems. Then quietly and effortlessly cruise around the entire base of Uluru on your Segway. Take in all the highlights of the rock and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology, and the European history of the area from your knowledgeable guides. Get picked up from the Ayers Rock Resort and journey by luxury coach with an on-board toilet to the sacred rock of Uluru. Make your way towards the majestic domes of Kata-Tjuta for your first walk of the day. Visit the Cultural Centre and learn about the local Pitjantjatjara people before going to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take part in a base walk. Follow the Mala walk along the northwest face of the rock to see fine examples of Anangu rock art.  Then, head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole for your 2nd base walk at the home of an ancestral watersnake called Wanampi. Share some stories of the local traditions and learn about the legendary Dreamtime. Sip a glass of sparkling wine and take in the beautiful sunset while your dinner is prepared by your guides. Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your Driver Guide will explain the geological development of the area over the millennium. Watch the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta with Uluru in the distance from the western dune viewing area, and enjoy a light breakfast. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta. Later return to Ayers Rock Resort.

See both the beauty of Uluru and Kata Tjuta on this helicopter experience. This tour will showcase Kata Tjuta, which means "many heads". It is made up of a group of 36 conglomerate rock domes, the highest of which stands 198 meters taller than Uluru. Ensure that you don't miss out on seeing the entire formation by taking a ride in by helicopter. With the wide spread of the domes and local restrictions due to sacred sites, access from the ground is restricted to only 75% of Kata Tjuta. Continue to the Kuniya Walk, where your driver/guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole.  See Aboriginal rock paintings, and learn more about the area as you are shown some of the native flora and given details of both the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Next, go to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and learn about Aboriginal culture.
